VonTroster

For anyone interested my real name is Brenden Troster and I currently reside in Albert Lea, Minn.  I write under the pen name VonTroster which was my family’s surname. I’m a married Catholic and proud parent of a two beautiful girls ages 6 and 16 months.  I was a professional wrestler for 10 years being trained by Curt Hennig, Road Warrior Animal, Wayne Bloom, Barry Darsow, and Brad Rheingans.   I’m certified in direct lineage to Bruce Lee (by Paul Vunak) in Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino martial arts which I’ve taught since 1998.  I’m currently a few months away from a bachelors in psychology with an emphasis on substance abuse.

I wasn’t always a Catholic or a Christian for that matter. I used to practice shamanism, Buddhism, Taoism, divination, spell casting, and participate in a medicine circle. At work I would place anti-Christian literature around the workplace and take up any argument I could to destroy anyone’s Christian beliefs. I completely denied the existence of the historical Christ.   If there was a God I certainly didn’t think he gave a crap about what humans were doing on the planet and he certainly wasn’t the Christian God.
At 28 years old I had a radical conversion and affirmation that God was real and loved me. More importantly his son was Jesus Christ. My conversion towards a belief in God was radical and eventually led me to the Catholic Church after I had fallen a few times (old habits die hard and I still fall as we all do). I am now a very devout Catholic and believe that Christ founded one church.  This one church has not wavered in its teachings and is the only church that can trace its lineage back to Christ and the apostles.  It is called the Catholic Church.
